Hunting \ Bison

Bison does not exactly belong to the group of game. It is a species under strict protection. In the Borecka Forest the herd has around 60 specimens and it includes around 20 bulls, 20 cows also 10 to 12 of annual offspring. Bison which belong to the National Forest are under strict protection. However, sometimes it is allowed by minister of environment allows for selective shooting. The specimens chosen for shooting are selected by special committee which includes the regional nature conservator. Every bison chosen to be shot is precisely marked. The shooting is usually carried out in winter.
