Tajikistan is an independent republic on the southern tip of the former Soviet Central Asia. Beautiful and remote, Tajikistan has a lot to offer for hikers, hikers and hunters around the world. Some of the highest mountains occupy most of Tajikistan’s territory, where the wild and most exclusive Marco Polo Argali, the wild boar and the markhur live. Today Tajikistan is in the process of strengthening democracy and transition to a free market economy after the 1992-1997 civil war. There have been no major security incidents in recent years, although the country remains the poorest in the former Soviet sphere. Hunting in Tajikistan takes place in one of the most remote places on Earth. Many consider it unbelievable how small dark villages in these areas have survived.
